Day 2. From KL, mama has already booked a “supir” with transport to bring our group for tour. The day we arrived, Ary-the supir called to confirmed the trip.
We had our breakfast at Hotel. However since the hotel served non halal foods, we only had bread with butter, jam and boiled eggs.
Sharp at 8.45am, Ary the supir arrived with an Avanza. Since mama has done some travel homework, mama just advised Ary our planned itinerary tour. Ary suggested that we watch "Barong Dance" first & immediately brought us to watch the dance at Denpasar. To watch Barong Dance, an entrance fee of RP50,000 (RM19.50) per person is required. The Barong dance is truly a triumphant display of bright colors and graceful movements. Watching Barong Dance are quite confusing if you don’t read the synopsis first. Luckily we managed to grab the dance synopsis at the counter & have better understanding on the performance. For tourist coming to Bali, it is a special performance to show Balinese cultural & beliefs. The show lasted for nearly one hour & by 10am we are already in the van to Kintamani.
After Barong Dance, we make our 2nd stop at “Sari Amerta” at Batubulan. Here we were shown the batik processing & also visit the batik shop. Since batik were also produced in Msia, this is a common experience for us. As it is a tourist spot, the price is quite expensive & we didn’t buy anything there.
We proceed our journey & stop at Ubud Market. Here we didn’t spent long time since Ary has advised to do our shopping at Sukawati which is much cheaper. Anyway, mama grabbed few T-shirts for the boys, wooden box & fridge magnet with a satisfactory price.
On the way up to the Kintamani mount, we stopped at a mirror shop on a hilly road near Ubud mkt. We bought 2 really pretty mirrors. The big striking red mirror cost only RM11 & the solid blue plate was sold at RM5. Wa & Cik Zizah were also attracted to the mirrors & bought few mirror themselves.
